Xeomin®
Xeomin® is an incobotulinumtoxin A made by Merz Pharmaceuticals and approved by the FDA to treat moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. Xeomin combines the same active ingredients as Botox, but it is a slightly purer form of the toxin. Long-term, this can be beneficial to patients. Xeomin improves the look of:
- Crow’s feet
- Forehead lines
- Laugh lines
- Frown lines
A very thin needle injects Xeomin, and you may only feel a slight pinch. The procedure isn’t considered to be painful, but a topical anesthetic may be used before treatments. There is little to no downtime after receiving Xeomin injections, and you can return to your regular activities immediately. Results from Xeomin can be seen about seven days after treatment, and the full effects come about one month later.
